Forhad Ahmed is a Production Manager in the Advanced Therapies Facility at the University of Birmingham. His current work comprises managing the production and manufacture of cellular therapies for human use.
Forhad completed his PhD training in Haematology at the Department of Haematology, University College London. He then went on to carryout post-doctoral training at the University of Birmingham and gained experience in cancer vaccine and endothelial cell biology. Further post-doctoral training was completed at Loughborough University where he worked with a Wellcome Trust-funded consortium to conduct clinical trials of manufactured red blood cells.
